Remind your members regularly of the basics of fraud prevention such as:- Maintain strong passwords
- Do not open links or attachments in suspicious emails
- Keep personal information such as social security numbers and birth dates secure
- How your credit union would reach out to them, especially by phone and text message
What you can do to help them:
Ensure your members know and are using all the benefits their accounts offer, including:- Credit monitoring
- Notifications on transactions, account updates, etc.
- How fraudulent transactions are handled
