What’s a CUCE anyway?

What’s a CUCE anyway?

CUCE stands for Credit Union Compliance Expert. The designation allows you to easily prove your expertise, and provide reassurance to your credit union that you know the complex requirements of credit union compliance.

There are about 2,200 credit union professionals with a “CUCE” designation. These designees are the ones who understand key federal regulations and help keep their credit union compliant. Additionally, they:

  • Keep up with evolving legislation and lead their credit unions through regulatory challenges
  • Know about the regulations for different business areas including lending, general credit union operations and procedures, mortgages, and deposit accounts
  • Can talk your ear off about the NCUA
  • Have undergone the rigorous process of earning the CUCE designation, which requires passing five separate exams
If you see yourself nurturing a passion for compliance, a CUCE designation might be worth checking out. It not only benefits your credit union but turbocharges your career. Take a quick peek at the upcoming Regulatory Compliance Certification School in Ft. Lauderdale in April or check out this page for more designation details
